Do I need a handicap certificate or any experience?
No, neither. That is exactly the point of disc golf and swingolf: no handicap certificate, no membership, no golf knowledge required. The rules are posted on site, and after a few minutes of reading you can start. People with years of golf behind them and complete beginners play in the same group here.
What does it cost?
A day pass costs €14 for adults, €11 for youth aged 10 to 17 and €4.50 for children aged 6 to 9. That covers both sports, for the whole day, for as many rounds as you like — equipment included. If you come often, the annual pass pays off: it costs ten times the day pass, so €140, €110 or €45.
When are you open?
Year-round and daily, Sundays and public holidays included. From 8:00 in the morning until dusk — so until around 21:00 in summer, considerably earlier in winter. In December and January it is best to come in the early afternoon, otherwise the last few holes get dark.
How long does a round take?
Plan two to three hours for the 18 holes.
What is the difference between disc golf and swingolf?
In disc golf you throw a disc into a metal basket. In swingolf you play with a single club and a soft, slightly oversized ball into a hole at the end of the fairway — simplified golf. Different movement, same principle: reach the target in as few attempts as possible. We have both on the same course, and both are included in the day pass.
Is it suitable for children?
Very much so. The swingolf balls are bigger and softer than in classic golf, the rules are simple and there is no pressure to perform. Children aged 6 to 9 pay €4.50, youth €11. For many families it is the first sport everybody can play together.
What should I bring?
Really just yourself and sturdy shoes — you will be walking across meadow and natural paths. Clubs, balls and discs are provided on site. Sun protection in summer, a jacket in winter and something to drink are a good idea too. Drinks are also available from the fridge at the course, payable by cash or QR code. There is no dress code.
Can I bring my dog?
No, unfortunately not. Dogs are not permitted anywhere on the grounds, not even on a leash.
Can we come as a group — and how do we book?
On your own, as a pair or as a family you simply turn up, no booking at all. From around ten people — a group of friends, a company outing, a club or a school class — please get in touch beforehand so we can reserve the time for you. The quickest way is the contact form or an email to office@swingolf.at. For groups we recommend the scramble format.
Are you open in bad weather?
Yes. The course is open year-round and playable in the rain — it just gets wet and slippery, so pack waterproof shoes and a rain jacket. In a thunderstorm the rule is: leave the open area immediately and take shelter. Groups and school classes can cancel free of charge at any time if the weather turns.
Can I play just disc golf?
Yes. The day pass covers both sports, but you do not have to play both. Plenty of people focus on disc golf and leave the club alone — or the other way round. The price stays the same.
Which format do you recommend for groups?
Scramble. You play in teams of two or three: everyone takes a shot, the best ball counts, and you all carry on from there. It keeps the round moving, takes the pressure off beginners and is the most fun in mixed groups. Keep it to four to six people per hole.
