Discgolf and Swingolf Linz

What to expect

One course in Linz-Urfahr, two sports. In disc golf you throw a disc into a metal basket. In swingolf you play with a single club and a soft, slightly oversized ball into a hole at the end of the fairway — simplified golf that makes sense after a five-minute explanation. You play both on the same 18 holes, and both are included in the day pass.

We opened in 2004 and have been running year-round ever since. The course is largely automated: clubs, balls and discs are ready in the reception area and the rules are posted on site. So there may well be nobody from the team around — you can still start playing.

Prices

A day pass covers both sports for the whole day — play as many rounds as you like. Equipment is included.

If you come often, take the annual pass: it costs exactly ten times the day pass — €140 for adults, €110 for youth, €45 for children. From the eleventh visit on, you play for free.

Opening hours

We are open year-round and daily, Sundays and public holidays included. Play starts at 8:00 and runs until dusk — until around 21:00 in summer, considerably earlier in winter. If you come between November and February, plan your round for the early afternoon.

There is ample free parking right at the course, plus accessible parking bays and dedicated coach parking for groups and school classes. An e-bike charging station is available too.

By public transport

• Bus 33 from Plesching → Sonnbergerstraße stop (500 m)
• Tram 1 & 2 → St. Magdalena stop (1.2 km)

What is on site — and what is not

There are toilets, car parking, coach parking, an e-bike charging station and a self-service drinks fridge (cola, apple juice, beer, shandy — pay by cash or online via QR code). Clubs, balls and discs are handed out in the reception area.

What we do not have: a restaurant or café, covered playing areas, and any facility for dogs. So bring something to eat or plan a stop afterwards — there are several places nearby.

The most important rules

• Our equipment only. Your own clubs, real golf balls or your own discs are not allowed — our gear is matched to the course.
• No dogs. Anywhere on the grounds, not even on a leash.
• 3 metres of safety distance from whoever is playing, always.
• In a thunderstorm leave the open area immediately and take shelter in a building or a vehicle.
• Be considerate and take your rubbish with you — there are usually several groups out at once, and the meadow should stay a meadow.

Groups, school classes and companies

On your own, as a pair or as a family you simply turn up — no booking needed. From around ten people please get in touch beforehand so we can reserve the time for you. For groups we recommend the scramble format: teams of two or three, everyone plays a shot, the best ball counts — it keeps the round moving and works well for beginners.

School classes pay a separate rate and can cancel free of charge at any time if the weather turns. For anything else, just drop us a line.
